I ordered a refurbished D600 from Dell Financial Services 3 years ago. It was a good solid laptop while I had it. Mine had 1gb of RAM and a CD/DVDROM (no burner). Mine also did not got with an XP CD or any recovery disc at all. I received an old Windows 2000 CD, hence I loaded that. I assayed upgrading it to View Habitation Basic. Bought this laptop to replace my MacBook (original Unibody), which breathed it’s last. I required a cheap laptop replacement in a hurry, since I’m working from home during a period of disability (knee surgery, I do software QA in the financial industry). I’m selfsame pleased with this PC…the screen is large and bright, no anomalies, the Sandy Bridge i3 is responsive, even at a relatively low clock speed, and the graphics are fine for me (I’m a Acer AS5750-6636 casual gamer. Very, very casual). Though the auto comes with some bloatware, there’s not a lot.

The keyboard is better than I expected. I do a fortune of typing (and can do almost 80 wpm), the keyboard is actually important to me, and I never did care for the chicklet keyboard on the macbook. The Acer too has chicklet shaped keys, but they locomote farther than the macbook’s and experience a much ameliorate feel. I could decease at full fastness on these, no problem. Construct quality seems OK. I yet prefer actual concave keys, only these’ll do fine. BTW, there’s a full numeric keypad on the right side, which doesn’t matter to me just will make lots of accountants happy!
